Twilight Desert Running Experience
The Twilight Red Rock event takes place within the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, located on the western side of the Las Vegas valley. Participants run through a landscape noted for its natural desert features, including Joshua trees and rock formations. The event is scheduled for a late summer evening, beginning shortly before sunset and continuing as night falls.
The course offers views of the surrounding canyon under the moonlight and stars. Runners can see the lights of the Las Vegas Strip in the distance while navigating the route. The atmosphere of the event is defined by the transition from daylight to evening, with the natural environment illuminated by the moon.
The following distances are available for participants:
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)
- 10K
- 5K
Transportation services are available for those staying on or near the Las Vegas Strip. A contracted bus service provides round-trip travel to the race location for both participants and spectators. This service requires a separate fee and names are kept on a manifest for boarding. The event is held on the Red Rock Canyon Scenic Drive, providing a paved surface through the conservation area.
