5K Celebration
Girls on the Run Las Vegas holds an end-of-season 5K Celebration that gives program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment. The event uses a 5K course of 3.1 miles and each registered participant who completes the course receives a commemorative medal.
The Fall 5K Celebration is scheduled for December 5, 2026 at Craig Ranch Regional Park, 628 West Craig Road, North Las Vegas, NV 89032. Program participants and coaches are pre-registered and do not need to register. Community runners must register; community registration fees are $35 for adults 18 and over and $20 for children under 18. All registrations include liability waivers.
The event includes free pre-event activities such as face painting, water stations, and sign-making stations. Merchandise will be available for sale and can be pre-ordered for pick up at a pre-order tent. Free parking is available at the Cottage Grove Parking Garage (Lot A) and Lot O on Cottage Grove Avenue. Designated accessible parking spots are provided.
Safety and accessibility measures are in place. Every participant must wear a race bib. The council assigns running buddies to participants and monitors the course with head counts and a safety plan. Volunteers support setup and then take roles such as registration and information, the Sparkle Zone, hydration stations, greeters and course guides. Sparkle Runners who serve as volunteer running buddies must be over 18 and undergo a background check. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
