5K Celebration : Girls on the Run Las Vegas
The Girls on the Run Las Vegas 5K Celebration is the end of season event for program participants. The Fall 5K Celebration on December 5, 2026, takes place at Craig Ranch Regional Park in North Las Vegas. The course is 3.1 miles and is presented as a celebratory, noncompetitive event that gives participants a tangible sense of accomplishment.
Every registered participant who completes the course receives a commemorative medal. The council provides running buddies so participants have support on the course; parents or guardians may serve as running buddies. Sparkle Runners are volunteer running buddies who must be 18 or older and complete a background check.
The event includes activities before the 5K, such as face painting, water stations, sign making stations, and a merchandise booth with an option to pick up preordered gear. Free parking is available at the Cottage Grove Parking Garage (Lot A, Cottage Grove Ave) and Lot O (Cottage Grove Ave). The council notes that the 5K course is accessible for people with disabilities and that designated accessible parking is available.
Community registration fees listed are $35 for adults and $20 for children under 18. Program participants and coaches are registered through the program and do not need additional registration. Volunteers support set up and roles including registration and information, the Sparkle Zone, hydration stations, and course guidance.
