Twas the Night Before 5K
The Twas the Night Before 5K is an annual evening running event held at Firestone Park in Columbiana, Ohio. Organized by the Siembida & Boggs Philanthropic Foundation, the race takes place on Tuesday, December 1, 2026. The 14th edition of this event features a course that leads participants through the Joy of Christmas light show, showcasing more than 1,000,000 holiday lights.

The race is chip-timed, and the start and finish lines are situated near Pavilion #1 next to Mirror Lake within Firestone Park. Registered participants receive a long-sleeve shirt, a commemorative finisher medal, and a chip-timed custom bib number. Awards are provided for the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three finishers in various age categories ranging from 10 and under to 70 and up.
Post-race activities include festive music provided by a DJ and cookies for participants inside the pavilion. An after party is held at the nearby Birdfish Brewery. Packet pick-up must be completed prior to race day at designated locations in Youngstown or Columbiana, as there is no registration or packet collection available on the day of the event.
