Event overview
The Turtleman Triathlon is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Turtle Lake Park in Shoreview, Minnesota (4979 Hodgson Rd). The event includes Sprint and Olympic triathlon distances, aqua (swim-bike only) divisions, and relay team options. The race uses a self-seeded time trial swim start. Participants will receive a timing chip and are instructed to wear the chip on the left ankle. Free parking is available across the street from the park. A professional photographer will be on site and a post-race barbecue is planned, weather permitting. Results are provided by FrontrunnerUSA.
Race options and logistics
- Sprint Triathlon: 0.5 mile swim, 12.5 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Olympic Triathlon: 1 mile swim, 25 mile bike, 5.5 mile run
- Aqua Sprint: 0.5 mile swim, 12.5 mile bike, no run
- Aqua Olympic: 1 mile swim, 25 mile bike, no run
Packet pick-up is held on race day at Turtle Lake Park and includes race bib, timing chip, event shirt (if selected), and finisher medal. Awards are given to top overall male and female athletes and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Age groups start at 19 and Under and continue in standard five-year increments through 70+. Race policies apply to all participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
