Turtle Trot 5K, 10K, Fun Run and Brunch : Willow-Witt Ranch, Ashland OR
A trail running event held at Willow-Witt Ranch featuring multiple distance options on single-track through meadows, wetlands, oak woodlands, and native conifer forest. Courses begin around 4,500 feet and climb to nearly 5,000 feet, offering sustained elevation changes and views of Mount Shasta, Pilot Rock, and Mt. Ashland.
Distances:
- 10K - two laps of the 5K loop, second lap run in reverse
- 5K - single loop around Willow-Witt Ranch over varied trail terrain
- 1 mile kids fun run - short, family-friendly trail with nature activities
The 10K follows the 5K loop twice to present the course from different directions. A halfway point at the campground can serve as a self-service aid station with water, bathrooms, and snacks. After the race there is a made-from-scratch communal breakfast served around long tables, followed by a hands-on Western Pond Turtle learning session. Event proceeds support The CREST and its mission to connect people and nature.
