Turtle Trot 10K - Ashland
The Turtle Trot 10K is a trail race held at Willow-Witt Ranch in Ashland, Oregon. It is the 7th annual event organized by The CREST.
The course is a rolling single-track trail that goes through meadows, wetlands, oak woodlands, and native conifer forest. It starts at an elevation of 4,500 feet and climbs to nearly 5,000 feet. The route includes varied terrain and offers views of Mount Shasta, Pilot Rock, and Mt. Ashland. The 10K consists of two laps, with the second lap run in reverse.
After the race, a communal, made-from-scratch breakfast is provided, shared around long tables. This is followed by a hands-on learning session about the Western Pond Turtle. All proceeds from the event support The CREST's mission to connect people and nature.
A 5K trail race and a Kids Fun Run/Trot/Walk are also part of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
