Turlock Chaplaincy Fun Run
The Turlock Chaplaincy Fun Run marks its 16th year on Saturday, May 9, 2026 in Turlock, California. The event takes place at Crossroads Church, 1360 N. Johnson Rd, and features a community 5K and a kids 400 meter dash.

- 5K run 3.1 miles
- Kids 400 m dash for ages 10 and under
The event supports the Turlock Chaplaincy, a nonprofit that serves the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and CSUS Police employees and their families. Chaplains are ordained clergy who respond 24/7 to calls from public safety agencies and provide emotional and practical support during emergencies. Examples of incidents they assist with include fatal car accidents, armed robberies, and in-home deaths, as well as counseling for first responders and character coaching for students in local schools.
This fundraiser provides 25 percent of the Chaplaincy’s annual funding. Registration opens April 1, 2026 and closes May 9, 2026. Registration fees listed by the organizer are $40 for the 5K and $20 for the kids dash. Packet pickup is offered the day before the event at Crossroads Church and also on race day.
Awards are provided for top 5K finishers with cash prizes and the top three finishers in the kids dash receive ice cream gift cards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
