About the race
The YMCA Turkey Trot is a free community 5k held at the Marinette Menominee YMCA in Menominee, Michigan on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026. Registration is required for all participants regardless of age, and the event is open to the public and to pets.
All registrations must be completed online before the event. Check in is located inside the YMCA lobby and opens on the morning of the event; registrants should have their confirmation QR code available or provide first and last names for everyone in their party. All registrants must check in on the morning of the event.
Registration includes a downloadable certificate of completion for finishing the 5k, and event photos will be posted on Facebook after the event. Additional apparel will be available for purchase on the day of the event for exact cash or check in youth and adult sizes, sold first come first served. Pricing is listed as free for members, general public, and pets; donation requests are to be announced.
The YMCA facility will be open to Turkey Trot participants only for a limited time on event morning; showers and other facilities will not be available aside from bathrooms. Handicap accessible bathrooms are available through the side door near the ramp. One water stop will be provided near the 1.5 mile mark with cups and trash.
