DPS Education Foundation Turkey Trot 2025
The DPS Education Foundation Turkey Trot is scheduled for Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Danville, VA. The event is organized by the Danville Public Schools Education Foundation in partnership with the Danville Otterbots and the Danville Running & Fitness Club. The race starts and finishes at American Legion Field and the course runs along the Dan River on the Riverwalk Trail. Proceeds support programs, initiatives, and scholarships for DPS students and teachers.

Registration and race information
Entry fees: the Children's Fun Run (12 and under) is free when an adult is registered for the 5K Run/Walk. The 5K Run/Walk pre-registration fee is $35 and increases on race day; area students 17 and under have a reduced fee. Packet pick-up is available on race day. Race day registration accepts cash and check only; checks should be payable to Danville Public Schools Education Foundation. Registrants who register by 11/14/25 will receive a long-sleeve performance shirt; shirts after that date are subject to availability. Trophies and medals will be awarded. 5K run and walk age categories are 0-14, 15-19, then in 10-year increments up to 69, and 70 and over.
