DPS Education Foundation Turkey Trot 2025
The event is organized by the Danville Public Schools Education Foundation with partners and takes place in Danville, Virginia, at American Legion Field and along the Dan River Riverwalk Trail. The event includes running and walking options and supports programs, initiatives, and scholarships for DPS students and teachers.
Distances offered:
- 400 yards Children's Fun Run, participants must be 12 years old and under
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
Entry and registration details note a free children's entry when an adult is registered for the 5K Run or Walk. Pre-registration fees for the 5K Run and Walk are listed at $35, with a higher fee on race day. Local students 17 and under have a reduced fee of $25 pre-registration and a higher race day fee. Packet pick-up and race day registration are available on race day, and race day registration accepts cash and check only. Checks are to be made payable to Danville Public Schools Education Foundation.
Registered participants who meet an announced registration deadline receive a long sleeve performance shirt; later registrants receive shirts while supplies last. Trophies and medals are awarded.
