Turkey Leg 5K Run : Willmar, MN
The Turkey Leg 5K is a 5K (3.1 mile) asphalt roadside race around Willmar streets held at the Kandiyohi County YMCA, 1000 Lakeland Dr SE, Willmar, MN. Water is provided at the halfway mark and walkers are welcome. The course is open for 1.5 hours to accommodate the event schedule on Thanksgiving Day.
Race entry includes a race t-shirt and a post-race snack and beverage. A race t-shirt is guaranteed for registrations completed by November 19. Shirt sizes are only guaranteed for registrations submitted prior to midnight on November 14. Same-day registration and packet pick up are available on race day.
Age-group divisions are offered for men and women, starting at 10 and under and continuing through age 85 and older, with awards for places one through three in each division. Additional awards include medals for the top female and top male, a medal for the largest family group, and an award for best dressed in Thanksgiving costumes.
Registration opens January 4, 2026 and closes October 11, 2026; the registration fee is $25. Post-race results are available online through the event timing provider. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
