Turkey Day Trail Trot
The Turkey Day Trail Trot takes place on Thanksgiving morning, 11/26/26, as part of the Urban Trail Series. The event offers multiple trail distances and uses a 5K double loop course on the east side of Battle Creek Regional Park. Runners follow a clockwise direction on the outer loop and a counter clockwise direction on the inner loop. The terrain is rolling and includes a mix of paved trail and off‑pavement cross country ski trails. Weather can vary from warm and sunny to early snow.

Entry fees vary by date and category. Adult 5K and 10K registration ranges from $40 to $55 depending on the registration period. Youth 16 and under and experienced runners 70 and older have reduced rates ranging from $25 to $40. The 3K kids run has its own tiered pricing from $18 to $25.
Long sleeve T shirts are provided to all runners. Podium pies are awarded to the top female and top male at the completion of each race distance. Bib and packet pick up is available Wednesday the 25th, noon to 6:00 pm, at TC Running, 868 Randolph Ave, St Paul, MN 55102, with additional pick up the morning of the event. The race start location is 2350 Upper Afton Rd, Maplewood, MN 55119.
Organizers may cancel or shorten races for severe weather including extreme heat and humidity, high winds, or lightning. The event follows ACSM heat and humidity guidance and National Weather Service information. There is a no refund policy for cancelled events. Calm, friendly dogs are welcome on a fixed non extendable leash; runners with dogs are encouraged to start near the back of the pack. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
