Turkey Day Trail Trot 2026
The Turkey Day Trail Trot is a trail running event held in Battle Creek Regional Park on the east side of the park near 2350 Upper Afton Rd, Maplewood, MN 55119. The event offers multiple measured distances on a looped course that uses a 5K loop; runners complete one or two laps depending on their chosen distance. Runners follow the outer loop clockwise and the inner loop counter clockwise. The 3K kids run starts with the 5K runners and then takes a shortcut to the finish.
Course surfaces include paved trail and off-pavement cross country ski trails. The terrain is generally rolling with a few challenging hills and variable early season conditions that can include warm weather or snow. Calm, friendly dogs are permitted when on a fixed, non-extendable leash; dog handlers are asked to be aware of other runners and consider starting near the back of the pack.
Packet pickup is available at TC Running, 868 Randolph Ave, St Paul, MN 55102, including a scheduled session the day before the event. Long sleeve shirts are provided for all runners. Podium pies are awarded to the top female and top male at the completion of each race distance.
Organizers may cancel or shorten races for severe weather, using ACSM heat and humidity guidelines and National Weather Service information. There is a no refund policy for cancelled events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
