Reindeer Run - Lakewood
The Reindeer Run is a holiday-themed event held at Lakewood Park in Ohio. Celebrating its 27th anniversary in 2026, this gathering takes place at the corner of Lake and Belle in Lakewood. The event features a local singing Santa who provides music and holiday entertainment for participants and spectators throughout the morning.
Participants can choose from various distances and participation styles:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Merry Mile (an untimed 1 mile walk)
- b.a. Sweetie Dasher Dash (a quarter-mile race for children aged 8 and under)
Registration for the event opens in July. Proceeds from the 2026 event support the organization Love Doesn't Shove. Since its inception in 2000, the Reindeer Run has typically seen over 1,000 participants each year. Attendees have the option to pick up their race packets in advance or register on-site on the day of the event until 30 minutes before the start.
