About the race
The Turf Games Gold Coast Summer Festival takes place over the weekend of 11–13 September 2026 at Gold Coast Recreation Centre, 1525 Gold Coast Hwy, Palm Beach QLD 4221. The event runs as a team competition with all teams competing on a single day during the weekend. There are three competition divisions: - Everyday teams compete on Saturday. - Elite teams compete on Saturday. - Intermediate teams may compete on Saturday or Sunday; podiums for Intermediate teams are held on Sunday. Teams consist of six athletes, made up of three male and three female athletes. Each team will complete five workouts: four main workouts conducted across separate arenas and one shorter pool workout.
Not all athletes in the Everyday and Intermediate divisions will be required to swim. One workout may include beach running depending on weather. Workouts will test strength, conditioning, power and teamwork, with weights and movements scaled by division. Team entry fee is $1,100 per team; entries are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled or the event date changes.
Team purchases allow the buyer to name the team at purchase and to link or change athlete details later; team names can be changed up to four weeks before the competition. Multiple team purchases are permitted using different email addresses. Prize structure includes partner prize packs for champion Everyday and Intermediate teams and cash prizes for Elite teams: 1st place $4,800, 2nd place $1,800, 3rd place $1,200.
