TurCreek Trot 5K - Village Greens Park, Greenwood Village CO
The TurCreek Trot is the third annual Thanksgiving morning 5K (3.1 miles) held at Village Greens Park in Greenwood Village. The event uses a staggered start to separate runners, walkers, and strollers. Proceeds benefit the Cherry Creek XC team.
Pre-registration opens on September 30 and early bird pricing applies to registrations made by November 1. The listed pre-registration fee is $27 and race day registration is available for $30. Registration for children being pushed in strollers is not required; children who run or walk the course must be registered to receive a bib.
The event includes a donation drive for the Cherry Creek School District; participants are asked to bring non-perishable food items or unopened personal hygiene products. Registration includes one complimentary coffee or hot chocolate from Travelin' Tom's Coffee Truck; additional beverages will be available for purchase. Post-race bagels will be provided and CCXC t-shirts are available for purchase for $10.
Packet pick-up is offered the day before from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Village Greens Park near the back pavilion, with additional pick-up beginning on race day at 7:30 AM. Parking is available at the park and across the street at the Cherry Creek High School East building. Two permanent park restrooms will be available on race day.
