TurCreek Trot 5K
TurCreek Trot 5K takes place on November 26, 2026 at Village Greens Park, 9501 E Union Ave, Greenwood Village, CO 80111. This is the third annual event hosted by Cherry Creek XC and is presented as a Thanksgiving morning 5K (3.1 miles).
The event will use a staggered start for runners, walkers, and strollers. Proceeds will benefit the Cherry Creek XC team. Organizers request that participants bring a non-perishable food item or an unopened personal hygiene product to support the Cherry Creek School District November donation drive.
Registration opens October 1. Early bird pricing is available through October 25, and registrations made by November 5 are guaranteed race swag. Standard registration is listed at $27; race day registration is $30. Instead of t-shirts, registered participants will receive a collectible glass and a nylon drawstring bag. Every registration includes one coffee or hot chocolate from Travelin' Tom's Coffee Truck. Children being pushed in strollers do not need to be registered; other children who walk or run the course must register to receive a bib. Costumes are encouraged.
Packet pick-up is available the day before the race and on race day. Parking is available at Village Greens Park or across the street at the East building of Cherry Creek High School. Village Greens Park has two permanent bathrooms. Pies will be awarded to winners in these categories: Overall Male and Female, Under 16 Male and Female, 16-25 Male and Female, 26-40 Male and Female, 41-55 Male and Female, and 55 and better Male and Female.
