About the race
Tupelo Trail Shuffle is scheduled for November 21, 2026 at Trace State Park in Belden, MS. The event offers trail running on mostly single-track routes through hardwood timber and old growth pines, with sections that run along Trace State Lake. Early November typically brings peak fall foliage in the area.
Distances:
- 20K on mostly single-track trails through hardwoods and pines.
- 10K on mostly single-track trails, approximately 400 ft elevation gain.
Course details note a few rolling hills with no large climbs or highly technical sections. Elevation gain is about 900 ft for the 20K and about 400 ft for the 10K. Aid stations will be located at roughly miles 4, 8, and 10 and will offer chips, cookies, fruit, water, and electrolytes; participants are encouraged to bring a reusable cup or water bottle.
Logistics include packet pickup at Core Cycle & Outdoor and at Trace State Park; packets not picked up on race day are forfeited and will not be mailed or available after race day. There is a 4 hour cutoff for both distances. Awards are given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall male and female for each distance. Race hoodies are planned for participants and there is a special recognition for five-year finishers; hoodies or medals are not guaranteed for entries completed after November 8, 2026.
Entry fees are $55 for the 10K and $65 for the 20K. No refunds. A portion of proceeds supports the Mississippi State Parks Fund. Camping, RV sites, cabins, hotels, and short term rentals are available near the park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
