Get Your Heart Started 5k
The Get Your Heart Started event takes place on February 28, 2026, at Tupelo Fairpark, 337 E Main Street, Tupelo, MS. The event is presented by Cardiology Associates of North Mississippi and includes a chip-timed 5K, a not-timed 5K option, and a not-timed 1-mile fun run. The course starts and finishes at Fairpark and goes out to the Elvis Presley Birthplace and back.

Logistics and registration
Registration opens January 1, 2026. Event prices listed on the organizer page are $30 for the chip-timed 5K, $25 for the not-timed 5K, and $20 for the 1-mile. Short-sleeve T-shirts are guaranteed for participants registered by February 5, 2026. Packet pickup is scheduled for February 27 at Gloster Creek Village Food Court and on race morning at Fairpark.
Timing, awards, and fundraising
The timed 5K is chip-timed by Time2Run using the Agee Race Timing System. Awards apply to the chip-timed event only and include overall places, masters and grandmasters, plus age-division awards given three deep for specified age groups. Proceeds support heart-health services and patient support through the Health Care Foundation of North Mississippi; donations can be made by check to that foundation.
