Tunnel Vision Night and Dawn Runs (6–7 November 2025)
Tunnel Vision is an out-and-back running event organised by Race Harborough, held over two dates: the Night Run on 6 November and the Dawn Run on 7 November 2025. The course distance is 5 mile and both routes include passage through the Oxendon Tunnel, which is 422 m long and kept dark with mood lighting only. All finishers receive a specially commissioned event medal; medals from the two runs interlink. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers.
Logistics, kit and support
Entries are priced at £22 for a single race and £39 for both, with a minimum competitor age of 14; entries and transfers close seven days before the event. Pre-event collection of race numbers, timing chips and pre-ordered t-shirts is available on Wednesday 5 November at Harborough Leisure Centre. The start area is signposted from Northampton Road and is located off Scotland Road behind Protheroes garage; parking is free at the nearby Leisure Centre (LE16 9HF).
The route is on hard packed track suitable for road or trail shoes. The tunnel surface has ruts and puddles, so participants must carry a head torch or small handheld torch. Race Harborough provides professional first aid at the start and finish and course access for medical teams, with volunteers positioned on course, at the tunnel entrance and at the turn-around point.
