Tunnel Vision Marathon & Half Marathon
The Tunnel Vision Marathon & Half Marathon takes place on August 9, 2026 near Hyak and Snoqualmie Pass, North Bend, Washington. The event is organized by Tunnel Marathons and offers two distance options:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
The 2026 event will follow an alternate, fully permitted route because of recent storm damage. The revised course remains fast and scenic, with approximately 1,000 feet of net elevation drop for both distances. The route is USATF certified and the marathon is a Boston qualifier. Runners pass through the historic Snoqualmie Tunnel and run along a smooth, packed gravel rail trail where road or light trail shoes work well. Headlamps are required for the Snoqualmie Tunnel.
Aid stations are positioned every 2 to 3 miles and provide water, electrolytes, first aid, and Honey Stinger gels at select locations. Registration includes professional chip timing, a custom race bib, a finisher’s shirt and medal, post-race food, and shuttle transportation back to Hyak Sno-Park. After finishing at Garcia Trailhead, participants follow a one-mile walk down Forest Service Road 9020 to shuttle buses that return them to Hyak.
