Tunnel Vision Marathon & Half Marathon : August 9, 2026
The Tunnel Vision Marathon & Half Marathon is scheduled for August 9, 2026 near Hyak at Snoqualmie Pass, North Bend, Washington. The event offers both a marathon and a half marathon on a rail-trail course that includes the historic Snoqualmie Tunnel.

The 2026 event follows an alternate, fully permitted route due to storm damage. The course preserves a steady downhill profile and features approximately 1,000 feet of net elevation drop for both distances. The route is USATF certified and the marathon is a Boston qualifier. Surface conditions are smooth, packed gravel; road or light trail shoes are recommended. Headlamps are required for passage through the Snoqualmie Tunnel.
Aid stations are located every 2 to 3 miles and provide water, electrolytes, first aid, and Honey Stinger gels at select locations. Registration opens February 13, 2026 and closes August 2, 2026 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. Registration includes professional chip timing, a custom race bib, a finisher shirt and medal, post-race food, and shuttle transportation back to the Hyak Sno-Park.
After crossing the finish at Garcia Trailhead, participants walk about one mile down Forest Service Road 9020 to shuttle buses that return runners to Hyak. While the finish differs from the traditional route, the event retains a downhill rail-trail setting and mountain scenery. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
