Tunnel Vision Marathon & Half Marathon : August 9, 2026
The Tunnel Vision Marathon & Half Marathon is a road and trail event near Hyak, Snoqualmie Pass, north of North Bend, Washington. The event offers two distances:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
The 2026 route follows an alternate, fully permitted course because of recent storm damage. Both races will feature approximately 1,000 feet of net downhill elevation and retain a steady downhill grade designed for faster running. The surface is smooth, packed gravel; road or light trail shoes are suitable. Both races will be USATF certified and the marathon will be a Boston qualifier, with certification finalized after snowmelt in May.
The course includes a run through the historic Snoqualmie Tunnel and sections with mountain views and waterfalls. Headlamps are required for running through the tunnel. Aid stations are located every 2 to 3 miles and provide water, electrolytes, basic first aid, and Honey Stinger gels at select stations.
After finishing at Garcia Trailhead, participants walk approximately one mile down Forest Service Road 9020 to shuttle buses. Shuttles return participants to Hyak Sno-Park. Registration opens February 13, 2026, and closes August 2, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT. Registration includes professional chip timing, a custom bib, a finisher shirt and medal, post-race food, and shuttle transportation back to Hyak Sno-Park.
