Tunnel Vision Marathon & Half Marathon
The Tunnel Vision Marathon & Half Marathon takes place near Hyak at Snoqualmie Pass in North Bend, Washington. The event offers two distances:
- Marathon
- Half marathon
The 2026 route follows an alternate, fully permitted course due to storm damage. The course retains a steady downhill grade and is designed with about 1,000 feet of net elevation drop for both distances. The surface is smooth, packed gravel; road or light trail shoes are recommended. The course is USATF-certified and the marathon is a Boston qualifier. The route includes a run through the Snoqualmie Tunnel, and headlamps are required for that tunnel section.
Aid stations are placed every 2–3 miles and provide water, electrolytes, first aid, and Honey Stinger gels at select locations. Registration for the event opens February 13, 2026 and closes August 2, 2026. Registered participants receive professional chip timing, a custom race bib, a finisher’s shirt and medal, post-race food and festivities, and shuttle transportation back to Hyak Sno-Park.
The 2026 finish differs from the traditional course and is located at Garcia Trailhead. After finishing, participants walk about one mile down Forest Service Road 9020 to shuttle buses that return runners to Hyak Sno-Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
