Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in St. Augustine, FL
The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk is an annual charity 5K that honors first responders and remembers the events of September 11, 2001. The 2026 event is the seventh edition in St. Augustine and is listed at 100 Beachwalk Club Drive, St. John's, FL 32259. The distance is 5K (3.1 miles) and the event is open to walkers and runners.
Registration options include different fees by category: Adult $25, First Responders and Military $20, Youth 13 to 17 years $10, Child 12 and under $5, and a JROTC entry with no fee. Day of registration is available for an additional $10 and shirts are not guaranteed for late registrants. Online registration remains open until the start and QR codes will be available for on-site sign-up. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Fionn MacCool’s Irish Pub & Restaurant in Ponte Vedra and race morning pickup is available at the venue.
Participants must display their bib on the front of their outermost garment. The event is timed; finisher medals are awarded to all participants and age-group awards are given to the top three males and females. Overall awards include top men, top women, and top first responders in gear for Fire, Police, and Armed Services. An Awards Tent on site will distribute awards to verified finishers.
Course support includes a water station along the route and water at the finish. Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted; firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are also permitted. Pets are not allowed on site due to a city ordinance. An Emergency Medical Service team and radio communication will be available on site. Registration may be transferred to another person before Thursday, September 10, 2026; refunds are not provided. Donations can be accepted for six weeks after the event. Registration fees do not count toward individual fundraising totals, and 92 cents of every dollar raised goes to program services. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
