Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - St. Augustine, FL
The Tunnel to Towers 5K in St. Augustine is a community run and walk that honors a New York City firefighter who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel. The event supports first responders and military and marks the seventh year for this location.
The course distance is 5K (3.1 miles) and is open to runners and walkers. Registration categories include JROTC (free), adult ($25), first responders and military ($20), youth 13 to 17 ($10), and children 12 and under ($5). Day-of registration is available with an additional $10 fee; late registrants may not receive a shirt and sizes are not guaranteed. Online registration remains available up to the race.
Packet pickup is available the day before at Fionn MacCool’s Irish Pub & Restaurant, 145 Hilden Rd., Ponte Vedra, and race morning pickup is offered at the venue. Participants must display their bib on the front of the outermost garment; those without a bib will be asked to leave the course.
All participants receive finisher medals and timed results. Medals are also awarded to top finishers by age group and to top first responders competing in gear. An Awards Tent with QR codes will be used to verify and distribute awards. A water station will be available on course and at the finish. Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted; pets are not allowed. Emergency medical services and radio communication will be on site. Registrations are transferable before September 10th; refunds are not provided. Donations and fundraising are accepted; some fundraising incentives apply through November 2026.
