Inaugural Tunnel to Towers 5K
The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk is held in Lyndhurst, Ohio, at 5301 Mayfield Road. This inaugural community event is part of a national series created to honor the memory of the first responders who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. The event specifically commemorates Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter.
Event Details
The event features a 5 km (3.1 miles) course that is open to runners and walkers of all ages. Participants may use strollers or wheelchairs on the course. Specialized gear, such as firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks, is also permitted for those wishing to participate in uniform.

Course Support and Amenities
A water station is provided along the route, with additional water available at the square. For safety, an Emergency Medical Service (EMS) team is present on-site with radio communication across the course. While the event is focused on the experience and memorial aspect rather than competition, awards are typically presented to first responders and military personnel participating in gear.
