Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - Jefferson City, MO
The event is a 5K (3.1 miles) run and walk held in Jefferson City with the start and finish located on the south steps of the Missouri State Capitol. Participants may run or walk the course.
Registration is offered in several categories with set fees: Adult registration is $25.00, First Responders and Military registration is $20.00, Youth registration (ages 13 to 17) is $10.00, and Child registration (12 and under) is $5.00. The registration fee does not count toward any fundraising goal.
Timing chips are not planned for the event. Two water stations will be available along the route and additional water will be provided at the finish line. An Emergency Medical Service team will be on site. Runners predicting a pace faster than 6 minute per mile will be seeded in the front corral.
Participants must wear their bib on the front of the outermost garment; those running without a bib will be asked to leave the course and will not be allowed to finish. Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are permitted. Personal items should be stored at the owner’s risk as the foundation will not be responsible for lost items.
Parking is available in State parking lots and on streets adjacent to High Street. Some city parking lots within two blocks of the Capitol are free on Saturday. Donations can be accepted for a period after the event, and refunds are not provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
