Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - Hummelstown, PA
The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in Hummelstown is a timed 5K event (3.1 miles) that honors those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and supports first responders and military personnel. The course is open to runners and walkers and allows strollers, wheelchairs, firefighter turnout gear, and military backpacks. Bicycles, roller blades, and pets are not permitted on the course.
Registration is offered in several categories with varying fees for adults, first responders and military, youth, and children. Online registration opens April 29, 2026 and is scheduled to close on August 19, 2026. Day of registration is available at the event.
Packets can be picked up on August 19, 20, and 21 at the Hummelstown Borough Office at 261 Quarry Road, and pickup is also available at Schaffner Park the evening before the race and on race day. Awards are presented to the fastest overall male and female finishers and to top finishers in each age group. Water stations are located along the route and at the finish. Donations to teams and individuals are accepted for six weeks after the event. The event includes an opening ceremony, the 5K competition, post race awards, and a closing ceremony.
