Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - Hummelstown, PA
The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in Hummelstown is a community 5K (3.1 miles) run and walk held in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania. The event honors a New York City firefighter who lost his life on September 11, 2001 and supports first responders and military personnel. Participants may run or walk; the event is timed and awards are given to the fastest overall male and female and to top finishers in each age group.
Registration categories and fees listed by the organizer include adult, first responders and military, youth (ages 13 to 17), child (12 and under), and a virtual PCG employee option. Day-of registration opens on race day at 7:30 AM. T-shirt availability is not guaranteed; registrants are advised that registering by Monday, August 3, 2026 improves the chance of receiving a T-shirt.
Packet pickup is available August 19, 20, and 21 at the Hummelstown Borough Office, 261 Quarry Rd, Hummelstown, PA 17036, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Additional packet pickup is offered Friday evening at Schaffner Park (4:00 PM to 7:00 PM) and on race day at Schaffner Park (7:30 AM to 8:30 AM). Water stations are placed along the route and at the finish. Strollers, wheelchairs, firefighter turnout gear, and military backpacks are permitted; bicycles, roller blades, and pets are not. Participants must display their bib on the front of their outermost garment. Donations are accepted for six weeks after the event, and offline donations can be mailed to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
