Tunnel Light Marathon & Half Marathon
The Tunnel Light Marathon & Half Marathon is scheduled for September 13, 2026 in North Bend, WA and is organized by Tunnel Marathons. The 2026 event will follow an alternate, fully permitted route because of recent storm damage. The revised course retains a steady downhill grade and a packed gravel surface, and features approximately 1,000 feet of net elevation drop for both the marathon and the half marathon. The course is USATF certified and the marathon is a Boston qualifier. Headlamps are required for passage through the Snoqualmie Tunnel. Aid stations are positioned about every 2 to 3 miles and provide water, electrolytes, first aid, and Honey Stinger gels at select locations.
Registration includes professional chip timing, a custom race bib, finisher shirt and medal, post-race food and festivities, and shuttle transportation back to Hyak Sno-Park. Finish for the 2026 route is at Garcia Trailhead; after finishing, participants walk about one mile down Forest Service Road 9020 to shuttle buses returning to Hyak.
