Tunnel Light Marathon & Half Marathon, North Bend WA
The Tunnel Light Marathon & Half Marathon is scheduled for September 13, 2026 in the North Bend / Hyak area and is organized by Tunnel Marathons. The 2026 event follows an alternate fully permitted route due to severe storm damage; the revised course is described as remaining fast and scenic and features approximately 1,000 feet of net elevation drop for both the marathon and half marathon.
The marathon course is USATF certified and the marathon distance serves as a Boston Qualifier. The route includes a historic passage through the Snoqualmie Tunnel and finishes at the Garcia Trailhead. After the finish, participants walk about one mile down Forest Service Road 9020 to shuttle buses that return runners to Hyak Sno-Park.
The surface is smooth packed gravel. Headlamps are required for the Snoqualmie Tunnel section. Aid stations are placed every 2 to 3 miles and provide water, electrolytes, basic first aid, and Honey Stinger gels at select locations.
Registration opens February 13, 2026 and registration closes September 6, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT. Race services listed for registrants include professional chip timing, a custom race bib, a finisher shirt and medal, post-race food, and shuttle transportation.
