Tunnel Light Marathon and Half - September 13, 2026
The Tunnel Light Marathon and Half takes place in Snoqualmie Pass, Washington, on September 13, 2026. The event follows an alternate, fully permitted route in 2026 due to storm damage, while retaining a steady downhill profile and mountain scenery.
The 2026 course features approximately 1,000 feet of net elevation drop for both the marathon and the half, a smooth packed gravel surface, and a run through the historic Snoqualmie Tunnel where headlamps are required. The marathon course is USATF certified and is a Boston Qualifier.
Distances:
- 26.2 miles marathon
- 13.1 miles half marathon
Support on course includes aid stations every 2 to 3 miles providing water, electrolytes, first aid, and Honey Stinger gels at select locations. Registration amenities include professional chip timing, a custom race bib, finisher shirt and medal, and post-race food. After finishing at Garcia Trailhead, runners walk about one mile down Forest Service Road 9020 to shuttle buses that return participants to Hyak Sno-Park for post-race support and refreshments.
The course surface and logistics are described so participants can plan footwear and lighting for the tunnel section. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
