Tunnel Light Marathon & Half Marathon
The Tunnel Light Marathon & Half Marathon is scheduled for September 13, 2026, in North Bend, WA, organized by Tunnel Marathons. The event is one of three Tunnel Marathons dates offered in 2026, with other editions on June 7 and August 9.

For 2026 the event will follow an alternate, fully permitted route because of storm damage. Organizers state the course will remain fast and scenic, follow a smooth downhill rail trail, and offer Pacific Northwest scenery. The course features approximately 1,000 feet of net elevation drop for both distances. The marathon is USATF certified and is a Boston Qualifier.
The surface is packed gravel. Headlamps are required for the Snoqualmie Tunnel. Aid stations are placed every 2 to 3 miles and provide water, electrolytes, first aid, and Honey Stinger gels at select locations.
Registration opens February 13, 2026, and closes September 6, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT. Registration offers list prices between USD 130.23 and USD 172.83. Registration includes chip timing, a custom race bib, a finisher shirt and medal, post-race food, and shuttle transportation back to Hyak Sno-Park.
The 2026 finish differs from the traditional finish. After finishing at Garcia Trailhead, runners walk about one mile down Forest Service Road 9020 to shuttle buses that return participants to Hyak. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
