Tuff Pumpkin Edmonton
Tuff Pumpkin Edmonton takes place at Northeast River Valley Park in Edmonton, Alberta. The event combines pumpkin-themed activities with run and walk options on measured courses.
Event options include:
- 5 km Pumpkin Run without a pumpkin
- 5 km Pumpkin Haul carrying a pumpkin
- 5 km Team Haul carrying one pumpkin as a team
- 2 km Sugar Pumpkin walk or run
The Pumpkin Run includes an optional timed entry for participants who want official timing. For Pumpkin Haul and Team Haul, participants pick a pumpkin from the patch and carry it for the 5 km course; teams may take turns. Children aged five and under are free and do not need to register; for the 2 km they must be accompanied by a paying adult. An event information pack is sent by email a few weeks before the event.
On site, activities include a warm up led by an MC, games, photo opportunities, pumpkin carving, axe throwing and selfie stations. The event lists Shea-Lynn's Butterfly Effect as its charity partner; the charity focuses on increasing seat belt use and promoting safer driving.
