The Running Room New Year’s Run - Edmonton is scheduled for January 11, 2026 in Edmonton, Alberta. The event is the 41st annual Running Room New Year’s Run and will be held at the Running Room location on 109th Street Northwest (8537 109 St NW, Edmonton, AB, T6G 1E4). The event will take place in person in select cities and will also offer a virtual option. Fundraising proceeds will support the Children’s Miracle Network hospitals in each event city.
Distances and race kit
- 5 km - in-person distance.
- 1K - in-person youth distance for participants under 12.
- Virtual - remote participation option.
Every 5K participant will receive a commemorative finisher’s medal and a New Year’s Run souvenir cup. Every 1K participant will receive a commemorative finisher’s medal. Virtual runners receive a souvenir and finisher’s medal; shipping incurs an additional fee of $13.99 and is not available outside Canada.
