Tuesdays In The Park Ice Cream 5k & Kids Fun Run
The Tuesdays In The Park Ice Cream 5k series takes place at Pottstown Riverfront Park in Pennsylvania. This event is held on the fourth Tuesday of each month between May and August, with the final installment scheduled for late August. The course is described as flat and is used by participants for training.
The event consists of two primary distances:
- 5 km
- 1 mile (Free Kids Fun Run for ages 10 and under)
Participants in the 5k race are eligible for awards across several age divisions, including 12 and under, 13-15, 16-19, and ten-year brackets ranging from 20-29 up to 80 and over. Recognition is given to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three finishers in each age category.
The event provides specific amenities for participants after they complete their run. All runners receive ice cream sandwiches. Additionally, a local establishment, the Iron Gate Biergarten, located three blocks from the park at 230 East High Street, offers a beverage to all runners aged 21 and over.
