Event overview
The Tuesday Night 5k #4 is scheduled for June 9, 2026 at Lake Accotink Park in Springfield, VA. The event is part of the Weekday Race Series (1 of 8 events in 2026) and points also count toward the Year-Long 5k and Back of the Pack series. Walkers are welcome. The race is chip timed and finishers receive a medal; event shirts will not be provided.
Course and services
The course listed is the Lake Accotink to Byron Avenue out-and-back route, described as flat and paved. A water station is located at approximately mile 1.55; Gatorade may be available at some water stations. Restrooms are located at the top of the hill near the beach. Live results will be posted on Athlinks and via a race QR code; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Event photos taken by staff are posted to the organizer’s Facebook page by the Tuesday after the event. Runner tracking via SMS is available during registration.
Logistics and policies
Registration for the 5k is listed at $22 with a $5 increase on race day. Packet pickup is available at the event; participants are advised to arrive about one hour before their race to check in. Race day registration is offered. The organizer runs events in most weather conditions; officials may delay, change, or postpone a race for safety and will notify registered participants.
