Summer Forest Running Event
The Summer Forest event is a series of races held on June 27, 2026, at Prince William Forest Park in Triangle, Virginia. The event features multiple distance options and takes place within a natural forested setting characterized by hilly terrain.
Participants can choose from three primary in-person distances:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half Marathon
The courses vary based on the selected distance. The 5k and 10k routes consist entirely of trails through the woods. The Half Marathon utilizes a combination of paved roads and trails. Walkers are permitted to participate in these events.
In addition to the physical races at the park, several virtual registration options are available. These include options for a virtual run with a medal, without a medal or shirt, or a combination of both a medal and a shirt. For those attending in person, registration fees include a park entrance fee.
