Summer Forest Half Marathon

2026 Summer Forest 5k, 10k, & Half
This event takes place on June 27 at Prince William Forest Park in Triangle, VA. The organizer offers three timed distances with both paved and trail sections:
- 5k trail through the woods
- 10k approximately 50% trail and 50% pavement
- Half marathon mostly pavement, about 60%
The course includes hills; runners are advised to check the course map for elevation gain. Water stations are placed along each course: eight on the half marathon, three on the 10k, and one on the 5k, with Gatorade available at some stations. The event provides chip timing, a finisher’s coin, and a technical drifit event shirt. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before June 17; extra shirts may be available after that date on a first come, first served basis.
Live results will be posted during the race on a results platform and final results with series points will be posted the Monday following the event. The race counts points toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, Endurance, and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Spring Series. The event benefits Semper Fi & America’s Fund. Packet pickup is available at the venue and there is no on-site race registration. Parking is in the Williams Ballfield off the park main road.
