Trythan Triathlon Festival Knockburn
The Trythan Triathlon Festival takes place at Knockburn Sports Loch near Banchory on 14 Jun 2026. The event includes a range of triathlon and multisport races for youth and adults and incorporates the Triathlon Scotland National Youth Championships 2026 within the Tristars and Youth programme.
The event is conducted in open water and wetsuits are required. All entrants must be competent swimmers for their chosen swim distance. Timing is chip based and results are managed by Eventfull Management Limited with live results on the day. Age group prizes will be awarded and national youth championship T shirts are available to purchase for £20.

Race distances include:
- Sprint Triathlon: 750 m swim, 17 km cycle, 5 km run
- Aquabike: 750 m swim, 17 km cycle
- Team Relay: 750 m swim, 17 km cycle, 5 km run
- Tristarts duathlon: 0.50 km run, 1.4 km cycle, 0.50 km run
- Tristars 1: 150 m swim, 4.0 km cycle, 1.0 km run
- Tristars 2: 250 m swim, 5.6 km cycle, 1.5 km run
- Tristars 3: 300 m swim, 7.0 km cycle, 2.0 km run
- Youth A: 400 m swim, 9.8 km cycle, 3.0 km run
