Event Overview
The Trythan Triathlon Festival takes place at Knockburn Sports Loch near Banchory. This multi-sport event accommodates various ages and abilities, offering several competition formats. In 2026, the venue also hosts the Triathlon Scotland National Youth Championships as part of the Tristars and Youth race programme.
The competition features chip timing for all participants. Because the swimming portions occur in open water, wetsuits are required. Participants must be competent swimmers for the distances specified for their respective age categories.
