Trumbull Rotary Sunset 5K Run & Walk
The Trumbull Rotary Sunset event is a community charity run and walk held at Twin Brooks Park in Trumbull, Connecticut on July 31, 2026. The program includes a timed 5K, a new untimed one mile walk, and free untimed kids scampers of various short distances. The 5K course measures approximately 3.11 miles and features rolling hills in the first half, a net downhill in the second half, and a flat final half mile. A water stop is located at about 1.7 miles.
Entry options include age-based 5K divisions for adults and youth, a veterans only division with free entry and required ID at bib pickup, and the untimed walk. Registration opens May 19; early entry fees and later fee increases are noted in the event schedule. Registration is online only if the event is not sold out and there is no paper or cash registration on race day. Participant numbers are limited to 300.
Participants who register by July 19 are guaranteed a T-shirt size; shirts, bibs, and swag are available for pickup at the Trumbull Public Library the day before the event and on site the evening of the event. Awards include champions for men and women and top three in standard age groups. Proceeds support local and regional community projects and nonprofits.
