True Grit QLD 2026
True Grit QLD is a military-inspired obstacle course event held at Albert River Wines in Tamborine. The course utilizes the rugged winery landscape and natural terrain to host various physical challenges. Participants can choose between three primary course formats:
- 10km Elite: A timed, competitive wave for participants aged 16 and over, featuring mandatory obstacle attempts and performance prizes.
- 10km: The standard obstacle course layout for participants aged 16 and over.
- 5km: A shorter version of the course featuring 15+ obstacles, open to participants aged 12 and over.
The event features a variety of specific obstacles designed for the location, including an A-Frame, Traverse Ropes, Monkey Bars, Pontoon Bridges, and The Ramp. Participants also encounter sandbag carries, tyre walls, cargo nets, and various climbing structures. While the Elite wave is strictly competitive with burpee penalties for failed obstacles, the standard 5km and 10km waves allow for teamwork. Solo participants can join the Black Dog Wave to complete the course alongside others.
On-site amenities include parking for a fee, a bag drop service for a donation, and water stations located approximately at the halfway point of the course. Participants who complete the event receive a finisher t-shirt and an electrolyte drink. On-site camping is also available at the winery for those wishing to stay at the venue.
