The TRSA Mount Misery trail running event takes place in the scenic Cudlee Creek Forest Reserve within the Mount Lofty Ranges, about 45 minutes from Adelaide. It offers three challenging distances—8 km, 15 km, and 24 km—with significant elevation gains, including the notable "Gongshow" climb. The course features a mix of fire trails and single tracks, creek crossings, and abundant wildlife, including the famous Eddie the Emu.
Participants enjoy breathtaking views from the summit of Mount Misery and a rugged, character-building experience on traditional Kaurna and Peramangk lands. Amenities include drink stations, nutrition, medals for placegetters, and the event is part of the UTMB® Index and ITRA National Challenge for the 24 km race.
