Trout Trot 5K - Riverwalk Run Series
The Trout Trot 5K is a spring road race in the North Georgia mountains that forms part of the Riverwalk Run Series. The event features a scenic 3.1-mile course that crosses the state line twice between McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee. The route runs alongside the Toccoa River and through the downtown areas of both towns, with one hill on the course.
The Trout Trot coincides with Blue Ridge Trout Fest and includes post-event festivities and live music in Fannin County. The series offers three events across seasons: the Trout Trot 5K in spring, Walk the Line 5K in summer, and Bigfoot Boogie 5K in fall. Participants who complete all three events receive a CHALLENGE ITEM.
The Riverwalk Run Series is described as America’s only two-state 5K series and marks the series celebration of America’s 250th birthday with events spanning Georgia and Tennessee. All three Riverwalk Run Series 5Ks are Official Peachtree Qualifiers for the AJC Peachtree Road Race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
