2026 Burra Burra Trout Trot 5K
The Trout Trot 5K is a spring road race held in McCaysville, Georgia on Saturday, April 25, 2026. The event features a scenic 3.1 mile paved course that crosses the Georgia-Tennessee state line twice, routing along the Toccoa River and through the downtown areas of McCaysville and Copperhill. The course contains a single hill and uses separate start and finish locations with gun to chip timing.
The event is part of the Riverwalk Run Series and coincides with the Blue Ridge Trout Fest. Both in-person and virtual 5K options are offered. Shirt and bib pickup is available at the McCaysville Visitor Center. Water is provided at the finish and participants are advised to carry their own water on course.
Awards are given to overall female and male finishers and to age groups starting at 0 to 9 and continuing by decade up to 80 and over. All finishers receive a medal. The event includes post-race festivities such as live music and trout-themed activities in Fannin County.
