About the race
The Trot For HOPE is a community fun run and walk held on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2026, at Riverfront Park, 100 Memorial Parkway, Palatka, Florida. Proceeds from the event benefit the ministry of WHIF 91.3 Hope FM.
The event program includes a main 2 Miles trot or walk and a Tiny Tot Turkey Trot for children aged 10 and younger. The kids run is open to registered children and allows parents to run with their children. A volunteer program supports packet pickup, event promotion, and race-day tasks; volunteers will be contacted a couple of weeks before the event.
Entry fees are tiered: an early bird pre-registered 2 Mile fee of $20 if registered by September 30, a regular pre-registered 2 Mile fee of $25, and a race day 2 Mile fee of $30. The Kids Fun Run entry fee is $10. T-shirt upcharges apply for larger sizes.
The Trot For HOPE is non-competitive and non-scored. All finishers receive a finisher's medal; prizes will be awarded to the top five male and top five female finishers and to the first five finishers in the Tiny Tot race. Amenities include t-shirts, goody bags while supplies last, post-race refreshments, and event photos. A Visit Palatka trolley will follow the course for participants who cannot complete the full 2 miles; space is limited.
