Event overview
The Life Distance, 5K and Fun Run event takes place on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Coventry Oaks Farm in Palatka, Florida. The event is organized as a set of runs and walks along the Palatka-to-Lake Butler State Trail. Proceeds from the event will benefit A Women's Resource Center (AWRC), an interdenominational evangelical ministry that provides pregnancy-related services, limited ultrasounds, counseling and material support, and related programs.

Entries and fees

Course, amenities, and awards
Both the Rice Creek Ramble and the 5K use out-and-back courses on a paved, shaded state trail. Water stops will be available along the course. Registered participants receive a T-shirt, a finisher's medal, and a post-race meal of a quarter BBQ chicken with sides and a drink; shirt sizes are only guaranteed for registrations made by January 1, 2026. Live music is scheduled for post-race festivities. Awards will be given to overall male and female finishers and top finishers in age groups from 9 and under through 70 and older.
Timing and results
Timing will be provided by Hasselmania Productions LLC using disposable electronic tags attached to bibs. Printed results will be posted at the race site and available live online. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
