Tromptown Half Marathon & 5K
The Tromptown Half Marathon & 5K is an annual running event held in De Ruyter, New York. The 2026 edition marks the 49th year of this competition. The event serves as a fundraiser to support the DeRuyter Fire Department and various local community organizations, including the local graduating class of 2027.

The live races take place on Mechanic Street. Both the Half Marathon and 5K courses were updated in 2025. Participants in the Half Marathon receive a complimentary pancake breakfast after completing the race. The event coincides with the DeRuyter Fireman Field Days, a local community festival occurring from August 6 to August 9.
Packet pickup is available on the morning of the race at the start line. Registration for the physical events remains open until the end of July at standard pricing, while virtual registration options are available until the day of the event.
