Event Overview

The English's Ridge Rumble is a trail running event taking place on April 18, 2026. It is the ninth annual edition and the first event of the 2026 race calendar for Salt City Trail Racing. The event is sanctioned by USATF. Available distances are:

Location and Course

The race is held at Green Lakes State Park in Fayetteville, New York. The park is known for its two meromictic lakes, which have distinct blue-green water where the layers do not mix. The course is a loop of approximately 10 miles with about 1,300 feet of elevation gain per loop. The route passes through areas including The Serengeti, Round Lake, the Powerline Bypass, and Quarry Hill. The terrain includes open fields, old-growth forest, and varied trails with some technical sections of rocks and roots. Much of the course is on double-track surfaces like mulch, gravel, or grass, with a small section of paved park road. Weather in mid-April can vary from snowy and cold to sunny and warm.

Registration Details

Registration prices increase after December 1 and again one month before the race. Runners registering after April 2 are not guaranteed a t-shirt. Refunds are not available. Deferrals are permitted in cases of pregnancy, injury, or if the runner volunteers for the race, provided volunteer slots are open.
