English's Ridge Rumble
English's Ridge Rumble is a trail running event at Green Lakes State Park in Fayetteville, NY. Distances offered include:
- 50 km
- 20 mile
- 10 mile
The course is an approximately 10.4 mile loop with about 1,300 feet of elevation gain per loop. Trail surfaces vary from double-track composed of mulch beds, gravel, or grass to small sections of paved park road, and include some technical rock and root sections. The loop passes features named The Serengeti, Round Lake, the Powerline Bypass, and Quarry Hill, plus open fields and old growth forest. The race begins and ends at the Reserve Picnic Shelter; runners park in the main parking lot by the beach and follow a marked quarter mile path to the start. The disc golf lot near the shelter is reserved for drop off and volunteers.
There are two aid stations: one at the Start/Finish and one on course that is passed twice per loop at roughly miles 2.4 and 6.6. Aid offerings include water, electrolyte drink, fruit, pickles, sandwiches, chips, cookies, candy, and postrace ramen with vegan options. The event is USATF sanctioned. Registration opens November 25, 2026; prices increase after December 1 and again one month before the race. Refunds are not granted; deferrals and distance changes have specific conditions.
