TriSport Taupō Duathlon Series
Tri-Sport Taupō runs a five-race duathlon series that finishes with the club Duathlon Club Championships in early November. The series features long, short and kids courses held across mountain bike tracks, reserves and a motor sport park.
Events and venues include:
- Craters Mountain Bike Park
- Whakaipo Reserve
- Taupo Motor Sport Park, Broadlands Road
Each race offers separate kids, short and long course options. Sample course formats listed by event include:
- Kids Course: 300/700/300
- Short Course examples: 800/3.8/800, 1.0/2.5/1.0, 1.0/6.6/1.0
- Long Course examples: 1.6/6.3/1.6 MTB or 1.6/6/1.6 Road, 1.0/7.5/2.0, 2.0/10.0/2.0
Current club members have free entry to the series; non-members pay $10 per race for regular duathlon events. Age eligibility follows TRINZ regulations with age as at 31 December 2026. Published category fees under event entry include UNDER 17 at $140 and UNDER 20 at $180, with U20 entry including a Try Off Road swim/run event. Late entry and booking fees may apply and TriNZ one day membership is required unless a participant is a TRIBE member.
