About the race
Tri-Sport Taupō runs a five-race duathlon series that concludes with the Duathlon Club Championships in early November. Events include long, short and kids courses and take place on mountain bike tracks, reserves and at an international motor sport park. Races and venues: - Race 1 Craters Mountain Bike Park - Race 2 Craters Mountain Bike Park - Race 3 Whakaipo Reserve - Race 4 Motor Sport Park - Race 5 Motor Sport Park (Club Championships) Typical course distances offered: - Kids Course 300/700/300 - Short Course 800/3.8/800 or 1.0/2.5/1.0 or 1.0/6.6/1.0 - Long Course 1.6/6.3/1.6 or 1.0/7.5/2.0 or 2.0/10.0/2.0 Current club members enter series races free; non-members pay $10 per race. Age eligibility follows TRINZ regulations with age as at 31 December 2026.
Festival entry fees list UNDER 17 at $140 and UNDER 20 at $180, with the U20 fee including entry to an additional Try Off Road swim/run event. Late entry surcharges and booking fees may apply, and a TriNZ one-day membership is required unless the participant is a TRIBE member. Additional festival activity includes registration and event organisation at Taupo Motor Sport Park and associated event logistics across the listed venues.
