Trio Rio Triathlon
Trio Rio Triathlon takes place in Albuquerque, NM on May 30 and is presented by the City of Albuquerque Parks & Recreation Department. The event is USAT sanctioned and is based at the Rio Grande Outdoor Pool. Both an individual race and a two to three person relay are offered.
The race uses a reverse triathlon format: athletes run first, transition to the bike, and finish with a swim in the pool. Distances are:
- 5K Run
- 16.2K Bike
- 225 m Swim
Entries include a technical race shirt, an official swim cap, and professional chip timing with accurate results. The course is described as organized and overseen within the USAT sanctioned framework.
