Trinity 5000 Summer Series : Fort Worth, Texas
The Trinity 5000 Summer Series is a 12 week running series held on the Trinity Trails Zero Mile Marker near the Haws Athletic Center, 600 Congress Street, Fort Worth, Texas. Events take place on Thursday evenings from June 4 through August 20 with a sequence of 12 race dates.
Week one participants who finish the kickoff run on June 4 receive custom finisher medals. Series registrations include a technical shirt and use the same sturdy custom bib each week. There is a per week registration cap of 250 participants; online registration closes for a week once that cap is reached.
Prize structure includes age group awards at each race, overall and master awards, Clydesdale and Athena categories, and race walker categories. A point series runs through the summer with standings posted weekly after week three. Series Survivor Awards are given to runners who participate in person in all 12 races and who are registered for all 12 races either through the complete series registration or by combining single race registrations.
Course and event features include a fast and flat course, water stops near mile one and mile two, free soft drinks and other refreshments, free parking, and a free kids 1K fun run.
