Trinidad to Clam Beach Run
The Trinidad to Clam Beach Run is an annual coastal event held in Trinidad, California. The 2027 edition is scheduled for Saturday, January 30, 2027. The course covers 5.75 miles and starts at Saunders Park in town. The route follows an undulating road lined with redwood trees, crosses the "Little River" at Moonstone Beach, and continues over sand to the finish at Clam Beach State Park.
Packet pickup is available the day before the race on January 29 at the Jogg'n Shoppe in Arcata and on race day at Trinidad Town Hall. Street parking is available in Trinidad, with overflow parking in the grassy lot behind Murphy's Market; parking at Clam Beach is limited. A shuttle service is provided for runners who need transport from the South Clam Beach parking lot back to Town Hall.
Registration fees vary by date: before January 8, 2027 the listed options are $60 including a shirt or $40 without a shirt; after January 8 there is a late registration option listed at $50 without a shirt. After the run there is a beach gathering with a hot bowl of chili, music and a bonfire. The event page notes community sponsors and local logistics for participants and visitors.
