Trick or Trot 5K in Birmingham
Trick or Trot 5K is a Halloween-themed 5-kilometer event taking place on October 24, 2026 at Back Forty Birmingham, 3201 1st Avenue North, Birmingham, AL 35222. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation; if the in-person race cannot be held, registrations will convert to the virtual 5K.
The event includes a costume run with a social media costume contest, a race shirt, and team recognition. Awards will be presented to the top three male and female overall finishers and the top male and female masters, as well as the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Age groups are 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Additional awards recognize Biggest Team community and corporate categories, Most Spirited Team, Most Spirited Individual, Most Spirited Kid, and Most Spirited Pet and Owner.
Packet pick-up will take place at Back Forty Birmingham on October 23, 2026. Registration opens August 1, 2026 and closes September 19, 2026. Standard registration fee is $25 and an online registration option is listed at $35. All proceeds benefit Kid One Transport to provide transportation to medical care for children and expectant mothers throughout Alabama.
