Event details
The Trick or Trot 5K takes place on October 18, 2025, in Birmingham, Alabama, at Back Forty Birmingham, 3201 1st Avenue North. The event is an annual fundraiser for Kid One Transport and offers both in-person and virtual participation. If the in-person event cannot be held as planned, registrants will be treated as virtual participants.
The event program includes a 5K run, a social-media costume contest, and a race t-shirt. Runners of all ages are welcome, and strollers and pets may participate. Costumes are not required.
Awards and cause
Awards recognize top finishers and age-group placings: the top three male and female runners overall, top male and female masters, and the top three male and female finishers in each age group (0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over). Additional awards cover Biggest Team (Community and Corporate), Most Spirited Team, Most Spirited Individual, Most Spirited Kid, and Most Spirited Pet & Owner.
All proceeds benefit Kid One Transport to provide transportation to medical care for children and expectant mothers throughout Alabama. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
