Event Overview
The Trick or Trot 5K is the 13th annual event benefiting Kid One Transport. It offers both an in-person race and a virtual participation option. The event is a costume run that traditionally takes place in downtown Birmingham through the streets of the Lakeview District.
Event Details
The in-person race starts and ends at Back Forty Birmingham at 3201 1st Avenue North. Packet pick-up is scheduled at the same venue the day before the race.
The event includes a 5K run and a social media costume contest. All participants receive a t-shirt. Runners of all ages are welcome, and strollers and pets are permitted.
Awards
Awards are given for the top three male and female runners overall, as well as the top male and female masters runners. Age group awards are also presented in categories from 0-14 to 70 and over.
Additional team and spirit awards include Biggest Team, Most Spirited Team, Most Spirited Individual, Most Spirited Kid, and Most Spirited Pet & Owner. Costumes are encouraged but not required.

All proceeds from the event benefit Kid One Transport, an organization that provides transportation to medical care for children and expectant mothers in Alabama. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
