Trick or Trail 5k & 1 Mile - Hendersonville
The 12th annual Trick or Trail 5k and 1 Mile presented by Aetna takes place in Hendersonville on October 24, 2026. The event starts and finishes in the Historic 7th Avenue District, centered at 519 Maple Street. It includes in-person and virtual options for the 5k and an in-person, un-timed 1 Mile.

The event features a costume contest with multiple award categories, including overall best-dressed kids, best individual costume, best friends or family costume, best pet costume, most original costume, and a novelty category for surprising choices. Costume contest winners receive prizes and are announced at the awards ceremony.
Race entries include a commemorative finisher medal for all participants, an event shirt if registered by the stated deadline, chip timing for 5k results, a marked course that is spectator friendly, and a goody bag. Participants who choose the virtual 5k receive event swag shipped after the event; transfers to the virtual option may incur a shipping fee close to race day.
The event supports local charities and collects new winter items for the Boys and Girls Club of Henderson County, including socks, beanies, blankets, gloves, jackets sized 5T to adult 2XL, sneakers, toys, and sunscreen. Registrations are non-refundable; options such as transferring to the virtual event, deferral, or changing race distance are available under the event policies.
