Course, support and community activities
The routes run through the Historic 7th Avenue District and along the Oklawaha Greenway. Organizers describe both courses as fairly flat with a mix of nature and pavement; a backup route will be used if flooding is a concern. The 5K course has a single water station located just before mile 1 near Sullivan Park and the Boys and Girls Club. The finish area is adjacent to the Hendersonville Farmers Market and a Fall Festival; Bold Rock Mills River will provide complimentary non-alcoholic apple cider at the finish. The event supports local causes and includes a drive to collect winter items for the Boys & Girls Club of Henderson County. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
