Triathlon de Verdun Desjardins

The Triathlon de Verdun Desjardins holds its 29th edition on Sunday, August 9, 2026. The event is an urban triathlon offering pool and open-water races, youth categories, and team formats. The Duathlon sprint is part of the Coupe Québec and awards a qualifying spot for the 2027 age-group World Championships.

Race organization and safety measures are specified: the bike course runs anti-clockwise on a closed road, drafting is prohibited and a minimum distance between bikes must be maintained. Wetsuit use is allowed or required depending on the water temperature measured the morning of the event. Timing is done with ankle chips; Youth 1 and Youth 2 categories are not timed.

Athlete services include packet pick-up, body marking, an identified transition area, and a post-race snack available upon presentation of the race bib. The event pursues Triathlon Québec ÉcoTQ certification at the Silver level and reports water quality via the Montreal aquatic monitoring network.
