The event is a community fundraising run and walk in support of The Salvation Army. It takes place at Frédéric-Back Park in Montréal and raises funds specifically for L'Abri d'espoir, the Salvation Army women’s shelter and transitional housing facility in Montreal.

Donors receive an online donation confirmation and official tax receipts for donations over $20. Discounts are applied automatically at checkout for youth (18 and under) and seniors (65+) with CA$10 off, and group discounts of 10% for groups of 4–9 and 15% for groups of 10 or more.
