Courses and logistics

Distances:

  • 600 m swim
  • 14.7 miles bike
  • 5 km run

The swim is a 600 m time trial start with athletes seeded by race number and starting at five-second intervals; swim caps must be worn and cap color identifies swim start position. Wetsuit legality is determined by the race-day water temperature; wetsuits are legal when water temperature is below 78 degrees. The bike course is 14.7 miles and follows Clarks Bridge Road north, includes a 4-mile loop via Bogus Road and Napone Road, and returns to the park; the route is marked with signs and mile markers and remains open to traffic with law-enforcement and race staff at key intersections. The run is a 5 km out-and-back along Clarks Bridge Road with the finish on the plaza above the rowing grandstands. Transition bike racks correspond to assigned race numbers and all athletes receive body marking. Parking is first-come, first-served with overflow across the road; a tunnel is available to cross under the road to transition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
