Tri-Span 5K, 10K and LIVESTRONG Mile - Wilmington, NC
The Tri-Span event is an annual multi-distance race held at River Front Park Amphitheater in Wilmington, NC. The program includes a 5K, a 10K, and the LIVESTRONG Mile, with courses that travel through historic downtown Wilmington and along the Cape Fear Riverwalk.
The course formats:
- 5K: out-and-back route through downtown Wilmington.
- 10K: route that crosses three downtown bridges, including the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, the Thomas Rhodes Bridge with views of the USS North Carolina and the riverfront, and the Isabell Holmes Bridge returning into downtown.
- LIVESTRONG Mile: a non-timed one-mile walk or run held to honor friends and family affected by cancer; open to all participants.
Race services and amenities described by the organizer include a choice of race apparel (tee, ladies tank, or men's tank) with guaranteed selections for registrations completed by June 12, 2026, packet pickup at Waterline Brewing Company during the pre-race period, and a pre-run gathering with food trucks. All participants receive a finisher medal. Individual awards are listed for overall and master top finishers and age-group awards for both 5K and 10K.
Proceeds support the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program, a free 12-week health and wellness program for adult cancer survivors offered by the YMCA. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
