Tri Millennium Sprint
Tri Millennium Sprint is a multi-sport event held at Millennium Park on the west edge of Grand Rapids, Michigan on July 25, 2026. The event program includes sprint and Olympic distance triathlons, as well as duathlon and aquabike options. The venue is described as easily accessible with ample parking.
Swim, bike and run distances listed for the triathlon formats are:
- Swim: 750 m
- Bike: 5 km
- Run: 5 km
Registration and role options include a Captain Sprint Tri entry with no registration fee and a corresponding Angel Sprint Tri entry with a $25 registration fee. Captain entries are organized so that teams of three Angels may support each Captain. Angel registration notes include a requirement that Captains have completed at least one event of this distance in the past two years and a finish time recommendation for the Olympic triathlon of about 1 hour 45 minutes or less. A volunteer registration option is also offered with no fee.
The park’s shoreline is described as shallow with calm water. The course layout is described as flat for the bike and run segments. One hundred percent of race proceeds are designated for the Bridge Street Ministries, an urban ministry on the West Side of Grand Rapids.
