Tri McConnell Indoor Triathlon
This indoor triathlon at McConnell Heart Health Center consists of three sequential segments: a timed swim, a stationary bike session, and a treadmill run. Each individual participant receives 10 minutes for the swim in a 25-yard pool (4 feet depth), 30 minutes on a stationary cycle, and 20 minutes on a treadmill. The activity time totals 60 minutes, plus two scheduled transitions: a 10-minute transition from swim to bike and a 5-minute transition from bike to run. The run segment is located upstairs on treadmills.
Each heat allows a maximum of six participants. Three pool lanes are used, with two swimmers per lane. A relay team option is available for teams of two or three; team entry covers the same sequence of swim, bike, and run with combined results. Team entry fee is $90.00 and individual entry fee is $60.00. When registering a team, one person sets up the team name and pays the team fee; all team members must register individually to provide information and sign the waiver.
Participants must be at least 18 years old. Registration opens on April 1, 2026 and closes on September 29, 2026.
The event benefits the OhioHealth Behavioral Medicine/Addiction Medicine Fellowship. All profits support physician education to address the opioid epidemic, including inpatient psychiatry, care for pregnant and postpartum people with opioid use disorder, advocacy for policy change, and outpatient recovery experience.
