Tri McConnell Indoor Triathlon
The event takes place at the McConnell Heart Health Center in Columbus, Ohio on 11/08/2026. It is an indoor multisport event composed of swim, bike and run segments performed in sequence.
Each participant has 10 minutes in a 25-yard pool (4 feet depth), 30 minutes on a stationary cycle, and 20 minutes on a treadmill. The combined active time is 60 minutes plus two scheduled transitions: a 10-minute transition from swim to bike and a 5-minute transition from bike to run. The run segment is located upstairs on treadmills. Three pool lanes are used with two swimmers per lane; each heat has a maximum of six participants.
Registration for individual entries opens 04/01/2026 and closes 09/29/2026; the individual entry fee is $60.00. A relay team option allows teams of two or three; the team entry fee is $90.00. When registering a team, one person sets up and pays for the team while all team members must also register to provide information and sign a waiver. All three segments are completed in sequence, distances (lengths and miles) are recorded, and results are reported by total distance and by ranked scoring.
Participants must be at least 18 years old. The event benefits the OhioHealth Behavioral Medicine/Addiction Medicine Fellowship, and event profits support physician education related to the opioid epidemic, including inpatient psychiatry, care for pregnant and postpartum women with opioid use disorder, policy advocacy, and outpatient recovery experience.
