Run the Lights 2026
Run the Lights is an annual holiday run and walk at Alum Creek State Park in Delaware, Ohio, on December 12, 2026. The course goes through Butch Bando's Fantasy of Lights, a three mile light display that is normally open to vehicles and is in its 27th season. The event is organized by KidsLinked and presented by Ohio ENT & Allergy Physicians.
Participants choose between these distances:
- 3 miles single loop
- 6 miles two loops
Every participant receives a choice of a holiday light-up hat, winter gloves, holiday socks, or a Tritan sports water bottle, plus a holiday finish line medal. Additional items and early-registration bonuses include a holiday light-up necklace for early registrants, a post-race Westerville Winterfest ticket, a $5 discount for the Fantasy of Lights drive-thru, and a gift from the presenting sponsor. Top three finishers in each wave receive special medals.
Registration includes tiered pricing and limited capacity with a total of 700 spots. A super sale period offers reduced fees and limited bonuses; the 6 mile option is listed as five dollars more than the 3 mile fee. Parking options include a limited onsite paid pass and free shuttle lots. Packet pick-up is offered on specified dates and locations in early December. No refunds. Pets and spectators are not allowed on course; strollers are permitted. The event proceeds in typical weather unless severe conditions occur.
