About the race
Run the Lights 2026 is the ninth annual run or walk through Butch Bando’s Fantasy of Lights at Alum Creek State Park in Delaware, Ohio. The course follows the three-mile light display that is normally open only to vehicles, offering a rare opportunity to move through the lights on foot. The event is presented by Ohio ENT & Allergy Physicians and organized by KidsLinked.
Participants can choose between:
- 3 miles single loop
- 6 miles two loops
Entry includes a choice of a holiday light-up hat, winter gloves, holiday socks, or a Tritan sports water bottle, plus a holiday finish line medal. Early registrants may receive additional items such as a holiday light-up necklace or post-race party access. Top three finishers in each wave receive special medals. Packet pick-up is available at multiple locations in early December; on-site race day pick-up is not available.
Parking options include a limited paid on-site lot and free remote lots with shuttle service. The event runs in typical winter conditions unless severe weather forces changes. Registration fees vary by period, and the organizer states that no refunds are available. The field is limited to 700 participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
