Event Overview
The Candy Cane Course - Columbus is a seasonal themed running event held at Wolfe Park in Columbus, Ohio. This family-oriented event offers several distances to accommodate a variety of participants, including those interested in competitive racing or casual walking. Participants can choose between in-person distances or a virtual race option for those unable to attend at the physical location.
The event features chip-timing with live results and awards for competitive participants. Runners receive professional photography at no additional cost. Upon completing their distance, participants are provided with treats at the finish line.
Distances and Participation
The event includes a range of distances and participation formats:
- 15k (9.3 miles)
- 10k (6.2 miles)
- 5k (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile untimed walk or run
- Kids Dash untimed for ages 10 and under
- Virtual Race option for any distance
Registration for the 15k, 10k, and 5k distances includes a custom bib, a designer shirt, and a finisher medal. The 1 Mile event is untimed but provides the same souvenir items. For the Kids Dash, registered children receive a mini bib, a youth-sized shirt, and a specialized medal, though children may participate in the dash for free if they do not require the event swag. A volunteer option is also available where individuals assist with event logistics before participating in their choice of distance.
